Who would have thought that the Liberals could do worse than with Stephane Dion?
They thought, play change the leader and everything would be fine. They would soar in public support and return to their rightful place.
Looks like it hasn't turned out like they expected. Their new leader hasn't actually turned Canadians on, in fact it's the opposite. The last few polls have actually said the public is not ready to return them to their rightful place anytime soon. They are right where they were with Stephane Dion a year ago.
Here's the latest one. Keeps saying the same thing as the others. It's not getting any better for those Libs.
So at least Mr. Dion can take heart in these latest polls, the current leader is not doing any better than he did. Infact the current leader is doing a bit worse.

Giving Thanks
This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend, a time to stop and ponder and think about the blessings that God has bestowed upon us because it is God who is loving, kind and all powerful who gives us all those things.
I am thankful for my family, health, the basics like food, shelter, decent clothes on my back. I am also thankful for our brave troops who are fighting sacrificing their lives for freedom of the Afghan people and trying to defeat terrorism.
I'm also thankful for our current Prime Minister steering us through this economic meltdown. PM Harper is a good PM and statesman and makes me proud when he's on the world scene. By the way he's a pretty good piano player and singer too along with being a good example of husband and father. I am once again proud to be a Canadian.
So let's thank the Lord for all we have. Things could be alot worse.

More Good Economic News
Today more good news on the ecomonic front. Last month there were 30,600 jobs; jobless rate dips to 8.4%. Globe and Mail
Earlier today on CTV newschannel Ian Lee from Carleton University talks about these jobs and thinks that the Government's stimulus pkg. has something to do with this news.
Not good news though for Iffy. So how does he and his Libs explain this? They say that jobs aren't being created blah, blah, blah! Clearly some have through the Action Plan.
In the mean time in the US they are still shedding jobs. They lost something like 263,000 last month and their jobless rate is at a 26 yr. high at 9.8%. Not so good.
What does that mean? Even though we are not out of the woods yet, it means that our economy is being handled very well by PM Harper, Finance Minister Flaherty and the whole Conservative government.
Above all we need to stay the course. Iffy, listen, an election now for your ego would just hamper things.

Congratulations, Minister Flaherty
I want to congratulate Finance Minister Jim Flaherty for being named Finance Minister of the year from a group of his peers in Euromoney Magazine.
"The finance minister has enhanced his country’s reputation for sound fiscal policy that takes full account of social justice, while a strong regulatory regime has kept the financial sector out of the chaos. Helen Avery reports. "
Way to go, Mr. Flaherty, keep up the good work!

Tories surging, Grits tanking
The latest public opinion poll from Strategic Counsel has the Conservatives ahead the of Liberals 13 points nationally. Not good news for the Libs.
Cons 41
Libs 28
NDP 14
Even more dismal for the Libs is the Ontario numbers that have the CPC well ahead of the Libs by 16 points!! 46 per cent versus 30 per cent WoW!
Are the Liberals really sure they want to pull the plug and plunge us into a very much unwanted election only to be creamed?
Do they really want to commit political suicide?
