Are the opposition parties falling into PM Harper's coalition narrative without even realizing it? Increasingly all three opposition parties are in unison when it comes to opposing the government on kinds of fronts. Case in point, last night the three opposition's were united in voting for a Liberal motion to hike corporate taxes.
Then the Liberal leader comes out flip flopping on Bill S-10, a bill that would impose tougher sentences on some drug offenders stating the Liberals will now vote against it. They actually origninally supported this bill. They have now come in line with their coalition partners the NDP and the Bloc who have always been against Bill-S10.
Then you have Lib and Dipper social policy, you can't even tell them apart anymore. It seems like the Libs are morphing into the NDP. It's like they're one.
With all the opposition parties practically in lock step with each other these days it will make PM Harper's case that much easier.
If the Conservatives get a minority in the next election; just as the PM said, the very next day Iggy and Jack will be knocking on the GG's door.
ReplyDeleteThe GG can always tell them "tramps round the back"
ReplyDeleteWere they for this bill when they thought Jaffer might go to jail for the planted dope in his pocket. Now that one of their own faces possible jail for drunken driving, flipflop.
ReplyDeleteI think that the chances of getting a minority government are slim, even without Quebec they're slim!! It seems incredulous to me that Canada wouldn't vote Conservative

ReplyDeleteGood point,MaryT. I hadn't thought of that. Since you mention it,one wonders.....
MaryT,
ReplyDeleteAre you referring to the Liberal MP busted for drunk driving, still sitting, defended by Iggy, and kept under wraps by the MSM? I can't recall his name; I wasn't bombarded with it like I was Guergis and Jaffer.....
NO QUARTER
Don't forget the unity between the "Liberals",Separatists, and NDP with regards to Bill 101. "Liberals", Separatists, and NDP'ers are united in their support of suppressing and denying the "constitutional rights" of the minority English speaking population of Quebec. "Liberals", Separatists, NDP'ers are united in conveniently ignoring their own sacred "Trudeau Charter", and the Supreme Court on this issue. The Li/Dip/Separatist party are united in the ideological belief that states, only English speaking rights are "necessary" to suppress and deny.
