2010 looks like it could be some good news for the GOP. They could be set to make a comeback in the midterm elections in November.
One thing though, if they truly want to win back both the House and the Senate, they need to recruit real true Republican conservatives that believe in the Constitution and are willing to adhere to it. I think the time is ripe for that kind of candidate, those that believe in small government, low taxes, individual freedom.
If they stick with the so called moderates, which most of them are in the GOP right now, they ain't goin' anywhere. The sense I have in watching the tea party rallies and the townhalls last summer, is that the average American voter is not happy with either the Democrats or the Republicans (in their current state).
Something is going to have to give, either the Republican Party becomes more conservative or voters are going turn to a third party or they could just stay home.
It will be interesting to watch what happens with our neighbors to the south.
