Mr. Z (Michael Ignatieff) will clamp down and crap the whip on his MPs and make them vote against scrapping the long gun registry. It has been nothing but a boondoggle that has cost taxpayers over $2 billion a year that's treated farmers and duck hunters like common criminals.
OTTAWA - Michael Ignatieff has come up with a compromise he hopes will mollify critics of the long-gun registry and thwart a Conservative attempt to scrap it.
Declaring it a matter of national unity, the Liberal leader announced Monday that all his MPs will be required to vote against a Tory private member's bill aimed at eradicating the controversial registryThat's sure to win the west and the rural areas in regions where they need to win in order to beat the CPC. Way to go Mr. Z! Keep it up! You're a great asset to the Conservatives.
Thankyou for that, Mr. Z.
ReplyDelete'a matter of national unity'?
ReplyDeleteLol.
Danny's 6 were given the ok to vote against the party in a 'confidence vote'.
Pro Life MPs went unpunished for voting against an extreamly important 'Liberal motion'.
8 MPs representing rural ridings are now to experience the wrath of Iffy, if they vote for a 'Private Members' bill.
In true Liberal fashion, the West and rural ridings are used as insignificant pawns....
Long gun registrty 'A matter of national unity' ? ... what an out of touch Iggiot.
ReplyDeleteThat would be lovely if the whip failed a second time. If a leader can't crack his own whip, shouldn't there be a leadership review?

Exactly, Mr.Z is so very out of touch. What exactly does he mean by "a matter of national unity?" Another statement of his that makes you go, huh?
If the Liberals representing rural ridings vote for this, their careers are done.
ReplyDeleteAs well,a clean sweep of the prairies would be all but a certainty.
What will be the punishment if any of his MPs decide to "mess with the Zsohar"? We never did find out what he did to McTeague and friends.
ReplyDeleteIceman, good question.
ReplyDeleteAn issue of national unity?
ReplyDeleteWhy am I suddenly reminded of that old saying about patriotism and scoundrels.
