OTTAWA - Canada's environment minister has some advice for environmental activist David Suzuki.We need to stand behind our senators and support their investigation.
"I would respectfully suggest that Mr. Suzuki chill a little bit," Peter Kent said Thursday in Toronto.
The minister was responding to a David Suzuki Foundation online form letter campaign targeting senators for "doing a disservice to all Canadians" in their ongoing debate about rich foreign foundations that fund environmental charities on only one side of Canadian policy debates.
Senators have cited activists' work against the oilsands and various pipeline proposals as examples.
"I think the Senate has been doing fine work in terms of investigating foreign funds that have been coming into some of our environmental discussions in Canada and channelled through Canadians charitable agencies," Kent said.
At the same time Brian Lilley and Ezra Levant try wade through this foreign funds/political activist/charities mess,CBC,and Leadnow.
Yes, we need to insist that the government put an end to the money laundering and to revoke the charitable status of these non charities. We also must insist on making all these organisations accountable for their funding and how they spend it. I greatly appreciate the in-depth research and reporting by SNN, for otherwise it would be business as usual.

You don't have to use what they provide. On Paulsstuff's suggestion I copied his version into the form, massaged it a bit to reflect my view, put my name to it and sent it. I also checked the box to cc it to my email and sure enough, it went through just as I wrote it.
Just make sure you uncheck the box where it says you want to be receive stuff from Dr Fruit-fly or or might get spammed.
Why does the Suzuki Foundation still have charitable status?
