Debates, Should There Be More?

The Star reported the other day that the NDP and the Conservatives want to increase the amount of debates in this year's election from the normal two debates in the past, one in English and one in French.  The Star is saying that especially the CPC wants more debates to "trap" the media party's precious little Justin.

There is no doubt Justin Trudeau is a gaffe machine. The media party
knows it and are afraid the one they favor will screw.  I believe they
really don't want more debates because it will show Canadians how naive
and immature Justin really is.

I say the more debates the merrier.   One on one like Justin vs. Thomas Mulcair and PM Harper vs. Justin etc.  Bring them on.

I would also like to see a couple debates with the smaller parties.   Most Canadians don't even realize for instance there is a Christian Heritage Party or a Libertarian Party.  Rebel TV? Maybe you guys can take that on since the other media won't.

  1. I guess it all depends on the format they use....Hope Miss may isn't in them. Last time she was, it was just her screeching and drowning everyone out so PM Harper couldn't even respond to her. CBC is the worst one to have setting up the debates. We all know they favor Trudeau. Last time the interpreter for PM harper had the worst whiney nasal voice imaginable...the rest had manly voices. Done on purpose I presume. sigh. It will end up with PM Harper being "attacked" from all of them...one on one would be the best.

  2. It was a gang up for sure. Elizabeth May shrill voice was annoying. Maybe if she tones it down this go around but I doubt it.

  4. Frankly I find that if May is there it tends to cause more grief for the left wing. She will either be forced to attack the liberals or she will metaphorically hump justins leg...a mental image which I apologize for...but the point being is that she is an inconvenience for the liberals because when compared there is little difference between the green liberal and ndp and with lizzie there Justin would have a difficult time trying to distinguish his position without losing his cool.

  6. If you can't expose Fluffy's lack of even a shallow depth in any relevant field - political, intellectual, financial, international and international issue - during a single debate then you are unfit to lead this country. Having more is a waste of time.

Please change the format to include a t least 1 other party since we may have paid for them based on their showing in the last election.

  7. This is off topic but I am tired of NDP and Porter story
    https://www.csiscareers.ca/en/how-apply/selection-process
this process seems more than adequate for employment with CISIS
surely the vetting for top job would be as vigorous
one needs only to google Arthur T, Porter to find the FACTS

  8. Immigration Minister : “Syrian refugees may be housed on army bases”

    Posted by: Ilana Shneider November 7, 2015

As the new Liberal government is scrambling to fulfil its election promise of bringing 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada by December 31 (or roughly 6,000 refugees a week), new Minister of Immigration John McCallum implied that some of those refugees may be temporarily housed in military bases until suitable and permanent accommodation is found.
