Mr. Ziffy Blames Tories For His Low Poll Numbers

The new poll that came out this morning by the Lib lovin' supporter Frank Graves, Ekos has the Libs tanking again. Mr. Ziffy's personal approval numbers are abysmal as well.
But you know what the latest is?  He's blaming the Conservatives   I mean come on, he can't be serious, can he?
Michael Ignatieff blames his lowly status in the polls on his adversaries, who he says have “done a number on me.” And that was before today’s EKOS results showing the Liberals slipping even farther into the basement of public opinion.
Uh, maybe he should look at himself in the mirror.  He's been leader now for over 16 months and hasn't been able to make inroads with Canadians.  Canadians just don't trust him. Trust needs to be earned. How can he or his party be trusted when they offer no credible policies and continually engage in faux scandals, smears, and a cultural war? Besides, they still need to pay back the $40 million they stole from us.

You can't blame your opponent for all your short comings.  You need to stand up and take personal responsibility  for why you are losing ground.  Didn't a well known Lib politican say to the affect once that "the more mud you throw, the more you lose ground?"

As long as Mr. Ziffy and the Libs keep up the scandal mongering, the culture war and keep blaming the CPC for their low poll numbers they aren't going to get traction with the voters and their numbers will keep dropping.

    Sounds good to me.

Of course he can-he is a liberal and since the media blames the conservatives for everything which the liberals failed to do why not Ignatieff.

All we have heard since four years ago is the BLAME GAME by the media.

  3. It seems a strange coincidence that Graves was making a big deal with "17 consecutive weeks with no party above 33%" and then as soon as his political contributions were made public, the Tories suddenly cross the line and start to claim. Maybe the EKOS controversy helped move the polls, but it took accusations of bias for the Tories to break the 33% ceilling.

  5. Iggo's arrogance knows no bounds. What I find really laughable(or pathetic if you choose), is that he's complaining about the Conservatives "doing a number on me", whilst being the leader of a party that went out of its way to do the same thing to three opposition leaders in the 90's and early 2000's.

  6. Of course it is that meanie Harper guy that is the reason Iffy is a dud!!
    ...not a leader, just visiting...

    speaking of polls,
did you know that 51% of Quebecers, yes the majority of voters in Quebec,
    do not NOT agree with Charest that the abortion issue is settled;

''...Mr. Charest is also wrong when he says that the debate is settled in Quebec. In an Angus Reid poll conducted in January, 31% of Quebec respondents thought abortion should remain legal but subject to greater restrictions than currently exist; 17% thought abortion should only be permitted in the case of rape or incest, or to save a woman’s life; while 3% thought abortion should be outlawed completely....''

Wilson, that's encouraging. It's about time we started having an adult conversation on abortion in this country. I believe a majority of Canadians would actually favor some sort of restriction on abortion.

  8. I would like to see some research into the effectiveness of the "just visiting" ads. If it turns out that they were effective in manipulating the attitudes of Canadians toward Ignatieff, then I agree: the Conservatives irresponsibility "did a number" on him.

The most irresponsible thing a governing party can do is impugn the citizenship of any citizen.
