Save the Unelected, Unaccountable Senate

In Jeffery Simpson's latest column, he desperately tries to make a last stitch effort to save the unelected, unaccountable senate. Does he see his chance at a senate seat go up in smoke? I suspect he does.

  1. Unfortunately, Harper has in my opinion no credibility in trying to improve democracy in Canada. His Senate reform proposal is just a sham that will never get through the House of Commons as he will probably ask for another prorogation if given the chance.

  4. Have you considered that he might be right, and that Harper cannot actually do what he pretends he wants to do?

    Just wondering...

  5. I believe one reason the lib-left-MSM is constantly on the prowl for issues to put the Conservatives in a bad light , is in part that with Liberal fortunes vaporizing , so do the Liberal MSM cheeleader's chances of ever being appointed to the Senate.
