Possible Coalition?

Could there be an attempt at another coupe de ta after next election like there was almost at year ago?

Is that even a possibility? You betcha! Even Don Martin thinks so.

Liberals Better think Twice

Liberals have indicated they can no longer support the government so they will vote against them from now on. They will bring the Conservative government down at the first opportunity.

Are they going to vote against the Ways and Means motion around Sept. 14? That motion is to make the Home Reno Tax Credit into law and is very popular. Are they going to bring in non-confidence motion a fews weeks later?

Well maybe they should think twice. If the lastest poll is to be believed, the Liberals are losing ground. In the lastest Strategic Counsell poll it puts the Liberals 5 points behind the Tories nationally and in Quebec their numbers are slipping.

Even more they should pay attention to Norman Spector's lastest comments on their prospects in La Belle province. Not good!

They also released their pre-election ads. Fell flat. Will they or won't they?
This poll and the reaction to the ads better give them pause, especially if they hang their hopes on Quebec to get them back into power.

Ignatieff on Home Reno Tax Credit

Try and figure this one out.
Ignatieff said this “We supported the home renovation tax credit before. Our problem is we just don’t support the government any more. But home renovation tax credit is a good measure, and it would continue under a Liberal government." CBC

So the Libs would vote against it even though they support and would introduce it if they would win government?

Doesn't make sense to me, does it to you?

Bad News for Liberals

There was s suprising increase in jobs created in August. 27,000 new jobs in the private sector.

What does that mean? The Conservative stimulus pkg. is working.

It's good news for Canadians. Bad news for Liberals and their supporters.

Election Now, Why?

The Liberal leader today indicated that his party was no longer going to support the government. So that means we might be forced into an election really nobody except the Liberals want right now.

Why? What is the pressing issue? $300 million spent for what result? Most likely be the same result as we have now. Why jeopardize the ecomonic recovery?

Read the comment section in this CTV article. Seems a majority of commentors are not in favor of what Ignatieff wants put us through.

Take a look at this poll that they are conducting right now. It's not scientific but it's interesting none the less.
