Ignatieff on Home Reno Tax Credit

Try and figure this one out.
Ignatieff said this “We supported the home renovation tax credit before. Our problem is we just don’t support the government any more. But home renovation tax credit is a good measure, and it would continue under a Liberal government." CBC

So the Libs would vote against it even though they support and would introduce it if they would win government?

Doesn't make sense to me, does it to you?

Bad News for Liberals

There was s suprising increase in jobs created in August. 27,000 new jobs in the private sector.

What does that mean? The Conservative stimulus pkg. is working.

It's good news for Canadians. Bad news for Liberals and their supporters.

Election Now, Why?

The Liberal leader today indicated that his party was no longer going to support the government. So that means we might be forced into an election really nobody except the Liberals want right now.

Why? What is the pressing issue? $300 million spent for what result? Most likely be the same result as we have now. Why jeopardize the ecomonic recovery?

Read the comment section in this CTV article. Seems a majority of commentors are not in favor of what Ignatieff wants put us through.

Take a look at this poll that they are conducting right now. It's not scientific but it's interesting none the less.

Who would you vote for in a possible fall election?
Conservatives
6554 votes
(61 %)
Liberals
2920 votes
(27 %)
NDP
726 votes
(7 %)
Other
605 votes
(6 %)

Total Votes: 10805

Glenn Beck and Common Sense

Since this blog is about fighting for common sense, I thought it would be beneficial to write about the book that has inspired me.

I have been reading and recommend highly this book by Glenn Beck,
Common Sense, The Case Against An Out-of Control Government,
Inspired by Thomas Paine, this summer.

In this book Beck emphazises how the American government is getting out of control with their spending and the gradual enchroachment of government on individuals to reduce their basic fundamental freedoms and how Americans can take their country back.

He goes at both parties, the Repulicans and the Demorcrats and their disregard for the average individual. He points out both sides have fallen down on the job and are just out for themselves.

This book is about America but as I kept reading this book, I noticed that it could apply here as well on all levels of government.

I hope you all get a chance to read it. It will inform you and inspire you. Just like Americans, we can take Canada back too.

Harper's New Patriotism

Andrew Coyne has written a great article on how the Harper Conservatives are regaining our patriotism and rebranding it's self "the Canada Party."

That's what, as far as Coyne's assessment goes, the trip to the North was about. An overall good read.
