Cozy Dictators
" We feel at home here and among our brothers ... we're going to be together until the end," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez during a visit to Latin America on Wednesday.
Two crazy dictators banding together. What are those sayings now, "Two peas in pod" and "Birds of a Feather?"
Fits nicely. Why not just allow the little dictator from North Korea and the nutcase from Libya in on your little party? Hey, you're all kindred spirits right? Your hatred for Israel, the west, anything democratic.
Hey, enjoy your cozyness together losers, because democracy always wins out in the long run. Just ask our veterans, they'll tell ya.

Running Down Canada
Listen to him here at QR77 Click on 2:00 pm. About 7 minutes in and then continues after the news at bottom of the hour.
Thank-you Charles, you expressed exactly what I feel.
Current Abortion Policy out of Touch with Majority of Canadians
56%, support legal protection at some stage before birth
30% support legal protection from conception on, after six months of pregnancy.
17% after three months of pregnancy
8% after six months of pregnancy.
Support for legal protection from conception on is much higher among women, 35%, than men at 25%.
Abortion funding:
68% of Canadians want privately funded
26% support tax-funding of all abortions down from 30% a year ago
18% or only tax-funded in cases of medical emergency "such as a threat to the mother's life or in cases of rape or incest.
Funding for medical procedures are a provincial responsibility. Our provincial governments need to defund this procedure that kills our most vulnerable precious unborn children. With governments right now scrambling to cut costs because of economic downturn, not only is it wrong to take our money to pay for something that according to this poll, a majority don't approve of but we also can't afford it.
Obama's Science Czar Invovled in Global Warming Fraud
Looks like John Holdren, President Barack Obama's Science Czar has been involved in this whole global warming scam. There are in this revelation that broke wide open, emails involving him.
Dr. Timothy Ball, a renowned climatologist points this out in this article he co-wrote in the Canada Free Press.
Holdren has extreme views on various issues like Population Control. This coming from Holdren himself:
"Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.
It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society.
Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems. No such sterilant exists today, nor does one appear to be under development. To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements: it must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock."This is very disturbing. To think he is involved in this climate deception and advising the President of the United States of America.
Let us not be suckered in. If this man is an example of those who are trying to scam us out of our money and resources and want to control us, God help us!
Stand up now and let your leaders know that we don't want them signing on to anything in Copenhagen that will jeopardize our economies and our freedoms.

Brilliant!
I think this is brilliant. Members of Congress are being inundated with Pink Slips.
"Conservative site WorldNetDaily is running a campaign to send members of Congress a "pink slip" warning that if they vote for "government health care," "cap and trade," "hate crimes," or "any more spending," their "real pink slip will be issued in the next election."
You know I was thinking, we could do that here too. Send "Pink Slips" to certain Members of Parliament or MLAs that we feel should get the boot if they vote let's say against free speech, smaller government, lowering taxes, scraping the gun registry, spending cuts etc. Pink slips too if they vote for any global warming scam.
Don't know if it would have any impact on the politicians but it at least sends a message.
Thank You Indian Media
Now we know why Stephen Harper doesn't like you, Indian media tells Canadian counterparts
Writing in the left-wing Toronto Star, Rick Westhead says: "For Harper, the visit may have to do less with new trade deals or warmed relations than with building ties to Indo-Canadian voters before the next election. "So rather than strategizing on new bilateral investment with India's Ambani brothers, the prime minister will travel to the Golden Temple in Amritsar - the holiest shrine in the Sikh faith - and meet with Hindi film star Akshay Kumar, a torchbearer for the Vancouver Olympics.' Not surprisingly, the current Canadian prime minister has always had prickly relations with his nation's media.
Thank you Sarabjit Jagirdar from the Indo-Asian News Service for pointing out the pettiness of our Canadian media!
Thank you David Akin for sharing this in your report.
It's the Liberals that Need to Grow Up
Yesterday in ethics committee, Scarborough Liberal MP Michelle Simson wrote the following on twitter, “M.P. Del Mastro should grow up (not out)” When making a statement like that Ms. Simson should look in the mirror. Her and her Liberal colleagues are the ones who should "grow up" and actually do some work for a change for Canadians.
Come on, this is the kinda stuff that goes on in Jr. High. No wonder Liberals are turning voters off.
Keep it up Liberals! It's not Mr. Del Mastro that needs to grow up, it's YOU, LIBERALS.

Anti-Semitism in Calgary
It's really sickening to think that anti-semitism is at work once again, in Calgary to boot. Late Saturday or early Sunday various Jewish facilities were vandalized. This was clearly a hate crime. Were lessons not learned from the past?
I thought we were a more tolerant society now with respect for one another's ethnicity, religion or POV.
This kind of act should not be tolerated at all. I hope whoever is responsible for this horrible thing will get the book thrown at them.

H1N1 Overblown
According to our chief public officer, Dr. David Butler-Jones, the H1N1 is no worse than seasonal flu.
Although H1N1 is disproportionately infecting more children and otherwise healthy young adults "the mortality rate from this [H1N1] is no worse than seasonal flu," Dr. David Butler-Jones said in an interview with Canwest News Service.
"The individual risk of severe disease or dying if you happen to get the flu is very similar today as it was back in June. It's just that we're starting to see a lot more people affected," he said.
"The fact that we haven't had more deaths and more people in [intensive-care units] I think is a testimony to people doing the right things to both prevent and reduce the severity of disease," Dr. Butler-Jones said. People are following public health advice to cough and sneeze into their sleeves, stay home if they're sick and get on anti-virals if symptoms are worsening, he said.
"When you do take this disease seriously, you can actually dramatically reduce the number of people with severe illness and death," Dr. Butler-Jones said. "So the usual 2,000 to 8,000 range [of flu-related deaths] that we see with seasonal flu, we might actually be able to reduce that substantially."
The ones that really hyped this up and have overblown it is the media and some in the opposition. Hey, sensationalism and fear sells papers and drives up ratings. The opposition, they just want try and score political points. At that note looks like that is backfiring. Take a look at the polls.
So take proper precautions like wash your hands, get plenty sleep, keep your stress levels down, eat healthy you'll be fine.

Ed Stelmach Promises Changes?
Last weekend Annual General Meeting Premier Stelmach got 77% support from the PC party membership. He promised there would be changes.
What are those changes going to be? Is he going to shuffle his cabinet? There is speculation out there he might. He could begin by taking Ted Morton, put him in Finance, Iris Evans has been a disaster. Also remove Ron Liepert from Alberta Health and Wellness Minister, he doesn't have clue what he's doing.
There are more, too many to mention right now. I could go on and on about Cabinet Minister incompetence but it's going to take more than a cabinet shuffle to change things in Alberta.
First of all before you shuffle your cabinet,Premier Stelmach, please listen to Albertans. We are not happy. Make the kind of changes WE want, like change the royalty formula back, cut spending, cut taxes, and axe the AHRC for example. It would be good start!

Two Thumbs Up
I give the Harper government a two thumbs up for their new Citizenship Guidebook, Discover Canada
The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship
Minister Jason Kenny unveiled a beautiful publication full of valuable information about Canada and who we are and what are responsibilities should be as citizens of the this the best country in the world.
It tells story of our history the positive and the negative. It tells of our proud military history both current and past. It talks of our symbols and what they mean.
The booklet also explains how Canada and Canadians have contributed to the world to make it a better place.
I find the book is very colorful and inviting, beautiful photographs and illustrations. It makes you want to look at and read it. It is not only valuable to new Canadians but also those of us who have been born and raised here and have lived here all our lives. I think it would be great to distribute to school children so they can get a better picture of what this country is all about that they are growing up in. After all they are the leaders of tomorrow, they have a right to know everything about their country that they can.
I especially took an interest in this new citizenship book because just recently my husband became a new Canadian. He had the old book, A Look at Canada, which was much lacking both in substance and accuracy. I even complained about to my husband that they need to change this thing. Our kids even noticed that is was vacuous. It was dull, photos were in black and white and well just uninteresting.
Thank-you Minister Kenny for this new citizenship book. Now new Canadians will have a better knowledge of what Canada is really all about.
P.S. If anyone is wondering where my husband came from, well he came from England and I'm glad he did.

It's the Soldier
IT IS THE SOLDIER
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
There can never be enough gratitude that we could ever show the brave men and women in uniform who have sacrificed so much for us.
Thank-you and God Bless!

Highway of Heroes
Lest we forget! Let us honour them, they deserve it. Keep praying for those who continue to serve in Afghanistan. May God keep them safe.
CPC and NDP Winners
The CPC are two more seats stronger. Cumberland--Colchester--Musquodoboit Valley, Nova Scotia and Montmagny--L'Islet--Kamouraska--Rivière-du-Loup,Quebec, an upset from what was a Bloc stronghold.
The NDP hang on to their seat in New Westminster--Coquitlam and increased their overall vote.
The Bloq held on to their seat in Hochelaga in Montreal's east end. No surprise there.
Hmmmmm...... where are the Liberals? Well they ended up in a distant third in ALL four ridings. They did no better than with Dion at the helm. They should have done better. By elections usually are a protest against the governing party and usually the official opposition capitalizes. You would think they would have benefited with the recession and all.
Looks like not this time. The governing party won half of the seats, the official opposition came up empty. I see this as an endorsement of the Conservative government and maybe of things to come next general election. Namely a majority Conservative government.
BTW. Congratulations to all the winners! God Bless you as serve the people of Canada!

How will Ed do?
The latest poll that just came out this morning doesn't look too good at this point for the Premier and his PC's.
The poll conducted by Environics puts the PCs at 34% Wildrose Alliance at 28% Liberals at 20% and the ND's at 9%. Wildrose is clearly gaining. Is this a referendum on the PC government, is there a political shift happening in Alberta? Who knows? Time will tell.
So will this have an effect on his leadership numbers on Saturday? I don't know. Maybe.
Some say that if he doesn't get at least 70% he should step down. Some have a lower threshold for him.
What will the numbers end up to be? What will the members say? I think he'll end up with between 60 and 65% approval.
We'll wait until Saturday and then see what happens from there.

Director of Planned Parenthood has a change of heart
"BRYAN, Texas, November 2, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The director of the Texas Planned Parenthood abortion mill where the 40 Days for Life campaign began has resigned, saying she experienced a conversion after watching an ultrasound video of a child being killed by abortion.
"I just thought I can't do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that's it," said Abby Johnson in an interview with local news network KBTX 3."
I am so glad this planned parenthood leader saw the light. I pray that she will have an influence on others to have a change of heart.
Abortions are the real KILLER not H1N1 FLU!

The Death of Common Sense
It's called "The Death of Common Sense" by Lori Borgman a syndicated journalist who has appeared on the Glenn Beck show, Regis and Kelly, Dr. Laura etc.
The Death of Common Sense
Three yards of black fabric enshroud my computer terminal. I am mourning the passing of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.
His obituary reads as follows:
Common Sense, aka C.S., lived a long life, but died from heart failure at the brink of the millennium. No one really knows how old he was; his birth records were long ago entangled in miles and miles of bureaucratic red tape.
Known affectionately to close friends as Horse Sense and Sound Thinking, he selflessly devoted himself to a life of service in homes, schools, hospitals, and offices, helping folks get jobs done without a lot of fanfare, whooping, and hollering. Rules and regulations and petty, frivolous lawsuits held no power over C.S.
A most reliable sage, he was credited with cultivating the ability to know when to come in out of the rain, the discovery that the early bird gets the worm, and how to take the bitter with the sweet. C.S. also developed sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adult is in charge, not the kid) and prudent dietary plans (offset eggs and bacon with a little fiber and orange juice).
A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, the Technological Revolution and the Smoking Crusades, C.S. survived sundry cultural and educational trends including disco, the men's movement, body piercing, whole language, and new math.
C.S.'s health began declining in the late 1960s when he became infected with the If-It-Feels-Good, Do-It virus. In the following decades his waning strength proved no match for the ravages of overbearing federal and state rules and regulations and an oppressive tax code. C.S. was sapped of strength and the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, criminals received better treatment than victims, and judges stuck their noses in everything from Boy Scouts to professional baseball and golf.
His deterioration accelerated as schools implemented zero-tolerance policies. Reports of six-year-old boys charged with sexual harassment for kissing classmates, a teen suspended for taking a swig of Scope mouthwash after lunch, girls suspended for possessing Midol, and an honor student expelled for having a table knife in her school lunch were more than his heart could endure.
As the end neared, doctors say C.S. drifted in and out of logic but was kept informed of developments regarding regulations on low-flow toilets, mandatory air bags, and a government plan to ban inhalers from fourteen million asthmatics due to a trace of a pollutant that may be harmful to the environment. Finally, upon word that a North Carolina town council was attempting to restrict front porch furniture to lawn chairs and settees that are aesthetically attractive, C.S. breathed his last.
Services will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery. C.S. was preceded in death by his wife, Discretion; one daughter, Responsibility; and one son, Reason. He is survived by two step-brothers, Half-Wit and Dim-Wit.
Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Institute for Rational Thought.
Farewell, Common Sense. May you rest in peace.
